How to Download Your Silent u Words Poster:

1. Add the Silent u words poster to your Cart using the ‘Add to Cart’ Button. NB You can only get the resources 2 at a time. #longstory
2. Press the very small ‘View Cart’ Button at the very top right of this page.
3. Hit the ‘Proceed to Checkout’ Button
4. Add your email address to prove you are human 
5. Press ‘Place Order’ then scroll down to ‘Order Details’ and click on your resource there. It will open ready to save, print, cut out and laminate.

One Way to Use this Poster:

1. Students sit in pairs.
2. Teacher introduces the Silent u poster on the website and models decoding the words.
3. Model clues for the students to guess e.g. ‘A sweet food _______ ‘, ‘A musical instrument _______ ‘. 
4. Guess the word and spell it to their partner. 

1. Explore the poster together.
2. Practice decoding and reading the words.
3. Place the poster in a loose leaf folder to create a class book.
   
4. Student take the class book home to share with their parents and siblings
   
5. Read the class book to ‘buddies’ i.e. Students from higher grades take the book to students of other grades and explore it with them.
